Hico Supercell // V3

Ultra wide version of the tornado warned supercell captured ouside of Hico, Texas. One of the most amazing storms I have seen in all of my years of chasing!

Supercell Over Baker, Montana

Wide version looking up at a mesocyclone minutes before a tornado formed and went through parts of Baker, Montana. One of the most dynamic storms I have ever seen. I was looking straight up watching the entire storm rotating. Amazing.

Colorado Panoramic Supercell

What a storm last month in Colorado. This tornado warned supercell was so big in front of us, I set up my Pano / Gimbal Head, took 15 images from right to left - 180 degree view! One of my favorite Panoramics! I hope you enjoy!

Mammatus over Kansas

Truck passed by as I was shooting a vertirama of incredible mammatus clouds outside of Lincoln, Kansas. These clouds were on the backside of a tornado warned supercell. I followed for as long as I could. The mammatus display was one of the best I have ever seen.

F2 Tornado Under Supercell

EF2 Tornado under massive supercell outside Baker, Montana on Saturday. Amazing condensation funnel! The color was really cool as well. Shot this at 16mm wide, the storm was less than 2 miles away just to give you an idea how big it really was!

Mitchell, Nebraska Hail Core

amazing teal color from the hail core of a supercell outside of Mitchell, Nebraska. This storm had baseball sized hail when I captured this. The color comes from the reflectivity of the larger hail, glows teal!

GreatBend, Kansas Supercell

Nice structure from a supercell near Great Bend, Kansas last month. The "skud bomb" under the storm make people nervous, from a distance they look like a tornado. It's actually warm air rising upwards towards the storms base or updraft, there is no rotation. In this case the storm was interacting with a cold front. It looks cool though! I love this pano. It is almost 360˚ from my view point. The contrast and color were amazing! Hope you enjoy!

Bushnell, Nebraska Tornado

Tornado! My friend, Steve Rokks and I chased this supercell from Grover, Colorado into SW Nebraska last week. We witnessed this tornado forming to the rope out stage. Lasted 5 mins. Went on to see several more that day, all on the open Plains! Hope you enjoy

Aladdin Panoramic Supercell

18 image panorama of a supercell moving over the Wyoming state line into South Dakota earlier this year. This image is one of my favorites and favorite memories storm chasing. We were high on a hillside capturing this awesome storm we had to drive up a steep incline on this road I found, albeit a grass road that lead to this view. My heart was pounding, the hail was coming, the outflow wind was cold and gusting around 50. I didn't know if I would have time to set up my camera set up on my Pano / Gimbal head, get it leveled and calm down enough to think about ramping the exposures +4 from left to right. 18 shots @ 24mm to fully capture the scene. This storm had been chasing us for an hour to this point, roughly moving at 40mph. I was so happy getting the shots, getting in the car and racing back down the sketchy road to the highway and let it chase us for a while longer. Hope you enjoy!
